Well the breeding season for Lesser Spots is over for this year.
Thanks to everyone who contributed sightings and nest information this year and also to those of you who searched in vain. Lesser Spots really are elusive birds when it comes to finding their nests.
As a result, we have good information on 13 nests and several more breeding attempts. This is far more than in previous years – so a success.
Ken and Linda Smith are now compiling and analysing all the data and we will post a full report and acknowledgements to all contributors in the next few weeks.
